A notable marsh pitcher plant, *Heliamphora collina* is found in the Venezuelan tepuis, with confirmed populations on the southwestern slopes of Ptari-tepui.

Distribution & habitat
Los Testigos and Ptari-tepui massifs in Venezuela, at elevations of 1700–1825 m.
History & etymology
First collected in 1986 by Otto Huber, Julian Steyermark and others, and originally classified as *Heliamphora heterodoxa*. It was later described as a new species in 2011 by Andreas Wistuba, Joachim Nerz, Stewart McPherson and Andreas Fleischmann.
