About
A notable Venezuelan endemic, *Heliamphora folliculata* is found across the Aparaman group of tepuis. This species is distinguished by its nectar spoon, which contains large extrafloral nectaries within its internal chamber, possibly an adaptation to protect the energetically costly nectar from rain.
