Nepenthes ceciliae is a tropical pitcher plant endemic to the Philippine island of Mindanao. It is part of the informal 'N. alata group,' which shares several distinct morphological characteristics with several other related species.

Morphology
The species is characterized by morphological traits shared with the 'N. alata group,' including winged petioles and upper pitchers that are typically broadest near the base. These pitchers also feature lids with basal ridges on the lower surface, which can sometimes develop into appendages.
Distribution & habitat
It is endemic to the Philippine island of Mindanao. This plant grows at altitudes ranging from 1500 to 1880 meters above sea level.
History & etymology
The discovery of *Nepenthes ceciliae* was announced online in August 2011. Historically, Martin Cheek and Matthew Jebb had treated *N. ceciliae* as possibly conspecific with *N. copelandii*.
