A notable species, *Nepenthes glandulifera*, is easily identified by the prominent black speckles around its petioles, which are actually specialized nectar glands. It is also characterized by a very prominent indumentum, setting it apart from related species.

Endemic to the Hose Mountains of central Sarawak.

History & etymology

The species was included in a 2002 report on the Nepenthes of the Hose Mountains under the placeholder name Nepenthes sp. 'A'.
