A striking tropical pitcher plant, *Nepenthes krabiensis* is notable for its apparent endemism to Krabi Province in southern Thailand. It is closely related to *N. rosea*.

The specific epithet krabiensis is derived from the name of Krabi Province, and the Latin ending -ensis means "from".
