*Nepenthes palawanensis* is a notable tropical pitcher plant, easily distinguished by its large pitchers, which are lined with distinctive orange to red hairs. These pitchers can reach impressive sizes, sometimes exceeding 35 cm in height.

Morphology
The pitchers are large, sometimes exceeding 35 cm in height, and have a capacity of 1.5–2 litres of water. They are characterized by being lined with orange to red hairs.
Distribution & habitat
Endemic to Sultan Peak on the island of Palawan in the Philippines, growing at elevations between 1,100–1,236 m (3,609–4,055 ft).
History & etymology
Discovered in February 2010 by Jehson Cervancia and Stewart McPherson.
