A notable species for its prolific flowering habit, *Nepenthes philippinensis* can produce up to 190 concurrent inflorescences on a single plant.

Distribution & habitat
Endemic to the Philippines, found in Palawan, the Calamian Islands (including Busuanga, Coron, and Culion), and Linapacan, growing at altitudes between 0 and 600 metres (2,000 ft).
History & etymology
The taxon was originally described as *Nepenthes wilkiei* by Matthew Jebb and Martin Cheek in 1998, and was later found to be conspecific with *N. philippinensis*.
