A tropical pitcher plant native to Mindanao, *Nepenthes ramos* is noted for its association with the 'N. alata group' and is suggested to be one of the most common members of this group on the island.
Field notes
Distribution & habitat
Northeastern Mindanao, Philippines; observed in Bukidnon, Davao Oriental, and Surigao provinces, and on an isolated mountain near the type locality. It is found at an elevation of 670 m.
History & etymology
The specific epithet ramos honors Philippine botanical collector Maximo Ramos, who collected the type material with J. Pascasio.
