A notable Thai species, *Nepenthes rosea* is easily identified by its pitchers, which often feature a striking, uniform pink interior. It is unusual among its relatives for sometimes producing a rosette along the peduncle.

Krabi Province, Peninsular Thailand, at altitudes ranging from 450–520 m above sea level.
History & etymology
Formally described by Marcello Catalano and Trongtham Kruetreepradit in December 2014. The species name is derived from the pink coloration of its pitchers.
