Morphology
The inflorescence typically bears 10 to 20 flowers, each measuring about 25 mm (1 inch) in diameter. The species exhibits significant morphological variability, including forms such as the pure white *var. alba*, the white flower with a solid yellow lip of *var. aurea*, and the red-petaled *var. rosea*.
