Morphology

It is an epiphytic herb featuring mottled, fleshy leaves and long, thick roots. Mature plants are known for producing racemes containing more than 100 large, pink flowers.

Endemic to the Philippines.

Cultivation notes

It is highly tolerant and thrives in a domestic temperature range of 17–22 °C (63–72 °F) and bright indirect light, such as that provided by an east- or west-facing window. It can be grown using specialized fir bark, long fiber sphagnum moss, or coconut husk-based orchid potting mixes.
